In NHL winning streaks, the Pittsburgh Penguins hold the record for longest overall winning streak at 17 games in the 1992-93 season. The longest home winning streak is 20 games by the 1929-30 Boston Bruins and the 1976-77 Philadelphia Flyers. The longest winning streak on the road is 10 games achieved by three hockey teams -- the Buffalo Sabres (1983-83), the St. Louis Blues (2000-01), and the New Jersey Devils (2001-02).
Wayne Douglas Gretzky, universally considered the greatest hockey player of all time, is recorded as the youngest player to ever score 50 goals. He is also the only hockey player to reach 200 points in a season and this he did four times in 5 years.
